My First Blog Ever!

Well here it is… the first blog entry.  At least this will be a good outlet while Tim deploys, not to mention a great way to keep him updated on everything.  Until then, it’s a great way to keep everyone updated on Baby Meyer.  I have a feeling once this baby makes his or her appearance that I’ll be a tad out of touch with the outside world.  For those of you who haven't seen Baby Meyer's very first pictures, let me share them with you :o)

The baby room is getting set up.  All we’re missing is the dresser, which will be in the room soon enough (thanks Mom and Dad!!!).  The good news is I’m still completely in love with the bedding.  I never thought I’d like bedding that was so bland in color, but it seems to suit the room perfectly.  Here is a picture of the bedding:

Christmas was a complete success.  Somehow we were able to figure out a way to hit every Christmas (minus one).  We missed my immediate family, which was tough since that was the first year I’ve ever had to miss celebrating with them, but was able to get some time in with my parents on Christmas Eve before heading off to the Anderson side.  Baby Meyer got some fantastic gifts!  I’m so excited to use the iFlip!  We’ll get some fantastic videos right after the baby is born!  Also, I took home a George Foreman grill from the Meyer side… finally this preggo lady can have some kabobs!  I feel so blessed to have the family I do, not to mention the family I married into!  :o)

Today we went to Babies R Us and got the car seat.  I don’t think I’ve been so excited about a purchase.  As soon as we got home I sat down and figured out how to work it.  Much easier than I expected!  They always look so difficult to use, but in all actuality it’s quite simple.  Love the Chicco brand!  As of today we officially have all the baby gear we need if Baby Meyer makes an early appearance.  Now if I could just pack the bag for the hospital.  Why that seems to be so difficult is beyond my understanding.  Today I am 33 weeks pregnant.  Is it a bad sign if I'm ready to be done?  I am becoming extremely impatient.  I can't tell if it's because I'm getting so uncomfortable, or if it's because I'm beyond excited to meet this child!  My guess is it's a bit of both :o)  I have my maternity photos being taken this weekend, plus my friend baby shower coming up in 2 weeks!  EXCITING!!!!!!  I hope the gorgeous ladies throwing me my shower know how much I appreciate and desperately love them!
